Design process that truly captures your loved one’s life
Every shape, size, color — all the choices matter, and should be made without compromise
Doing what’s necessary, the right way, to honor their memories
Monuments are made to last. That’s why there should never be a compromise on your design, and you should feel involved every step of the way. We know that you aren’t monument experts, that’s why we listen intently during the consultation phase. Who was this person, how are you trying to honor them, what monument will reflect the great life they lived?
It’s not a long or overwhelming process — we can recommend size and color options based on what you want and the reality of your budget.
You should also never have to wait on a design while you deal with all the other aspects around the loss of a loved one. From consult to install, we can work ahead and be completely finished in the 4-6 week turnaround time — custom projects or out of stock stones may extend this time frame, however.
Choice matters
Custom artwork, thousands of standard designs with the ability to adapt any concept into reality, ensures you will get a unique monument fitting for the one you lost.
At Walker Monument, we use our team of in-house artists to ensure nothing is forgotten, going from the vision in your head to the one that’s carved into stone.
And you never have to guess what that looks like — you’ll receive a computer-generated image of your design so you can approve, make tweaks and KNOW that you are getting an amazing monument. “The proof is in the pudding,” but in this case, the proof is in the proof.
If you fear the design will be too templated, don’t worry; we can create a completely new concept based on what you want.
Over the years in the monument business, we’ve come to understand that quality craftsmanship is paramount.
That’s our tagline:
“Quality cut in stone.”
What that means is a focus on the highest quality granite and other materials. Monuments must endure harsh weather year after year.
With the loss of a loved one being so serious, you have to feel heard and seen. That’s why we care so much about customer service and satisfaction. If there is ever any issue, know that you will get the immediate response and adjustment to make sure your engraving and placement is perfect.
You choose the right size, design, colors — all the important details, with our guidance.

Step One: Choose Shape & Style of Stone
The first step is to select the type of stone you want for your memorial.

If we don’t have what you’re looking for in-stock we can source it weeks or months ahead of the competition. View the most common granite colors below:
Step Three: Selecting Finish
For grass markers, we have options with concrete borders as well as all-granite options – the ultimate in strength and durability.
For upright monuments you can choose how many surfaces you want polished – front and back (P2), front, top and back (P3), or all surfaces polished (P5).
For benches you can select the style of bench you’re looking for.
Step Four: Engraving and Accessories
The final step is to select the type of engraving your monument is going to have.
We do not charge per letter or per design element. Costs for standard engraving are included in our pricing.
We have a large selection of fonts and various kinds of artwork.
We also are able to recess and install accessories on your monument like a portrait or medallion to further personalize your loved one’s memorial.
