    • Our Story

    Walker Monument has been a trusted name in the industry for over 50 years. Co-owner Darrell Fordham began his journey in the monument business in 1995 while attending college, answering a newspaper ad for shop help. With a degree in Construction Management, Darrell built a career managing multimillion-dollar construction projects before returning to his true passion—helping families memorialize their loved ones.

    Brian Giessing, Darrell’s business partner, is the artistic heart of Walker Monument. His family has been in the monument industry for generations, dating back to his grandfather, who emigrated from Denmark as a skilled stonecutter. Brian’s father opened Walker Monument in Orem in 1973, and in 2014, Brian and Darrell took over the company, continuing its legacy of craftsmanship and care.
